SUNY Oswego Physics and Physics Adolescent Education Majors Scholarships
Amount: Up to $4,000 over four years
Qualifications: High school students in Central NY (Cayuga, Cortland, Onondaga, Madison, Oswego) planning to major in physics or a related field; demonstrate leadership and academic promise.

Scholarship for Military Children
Amount: $2,000 (500 awards available)
Qualifications: Unmarried military dependent under age 23 with a valid USID card; sponsor must be active duty, reserve/guard, deceased, or retired from the U.S. Armed Forces. Must plan to enroll full-time in an undergraduate or transferable community college program. High school applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Deadline: Apply online by February 11
New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) Scholarship – Syracuse Area
Amount: Six awards ranging from $4,000–$12,000 (over four years)
Qualifications: High school seniors enrolling in an environmentally related program at a four-year college or university, or children of NYWEA members.
Deadline: Apply online by February 28
Tall Clubs International Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 minimum
Qualifications: Meet minimum height requirement (women: 5’10”, men: 6’2”); under age 21; accepted to an institution of higher education.
Deadline: Apply online by March 1
New York Farm Bureau Ag Youth Scholarship
Amount: $3,000
Qualifications: Students pursuing college or trade school programs in agriculture; must live/work on a farm or be involved in agriculture. Family or Student Farm Bureau membership required (free to join).
Deadline: Apply online by April 1, 2026
NYSIR Cristin Ann Bambino Scholarship
Amount: $3,000 (7 regional winners); $4,000 (1 second-place winner); $5,000 (1 state winner)
Qualifications: Planning to attend college or technical school; current special education student with an active IEP or 504 plan; required essay.

NYSIR Joseph Goncalves Student Humanitarian Scholarship
Amount: $3,000 (runner-up); $5,000 (state winner)
Qualifications: Demonstrated involvement in humanitarian activities promoting social justice, equal opportunity, or relief of human suffering; required essay.

NYSIR Paul Jensen Scholarship
Amount: $3,000 (runner-up); $5,000 (state winner)
Qualifications: Student who has excelled in design during high school and plans to pursue design in college. The goal of this scholarship is to reward a student who has shown interest and promise in design and who wishes to pursue this path in college.

Syracuse CPCU 2026 Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Qualifications: High school seniors planning to attend college in Fall 2026 in a Risk Management and Insurance program in Central New York.

Amount: Varies
Qualifications: Must apply for admission, be accepted, and have a MyCollege username and password.

Little Tags Foundation Scholarship
Amount: Lifetime NYS Hunting License (approximate value $765)
Qualifications: Letter of intent; essay on favorite hunting-related outdoor memory; two letters of recommendation describing your abilities and future of you being a respected and responsible sportsman; list of activities/community service; counselor letter with GPA; photo participating in outdoor activities.
Deadline: Due in Guidance by April 21, 2026; mailed applications must be received by May 5, 2026

Coast Guard Scholarship Program
Amount: $2,000
Qualifications: High school seniors planning to attend an accredited college or university for undergraduate studies who are dependents of Coast Guard active duty, reserve, or retired members; current civilian NAF or APF employees; or current Coast Guard Auxiliarists. Requires official transcript, SAT or ACT scores, a short single-spaced essay outlining educational, professional, and personal goals, and two letters of recommendation.

2026 Nuclear Family Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Qualifications: Enrolled in a two- to five-year post-secondary institution in Fall 2026; minimum 3.0 GPA; essay, resume, and transcript required.

National Parent Volunteer Association Scholarships
Amount: $1,000 each (4 scholarships available)
Qualifications: Open to juniors, seniors, and college students; must plan to enroll in full- or part-time college or vocational school; minimum 2.5 GPA; short 150-word essays required; transcript required if selected.

National Catholic Committee on Scouting Scholarships
Amount: $2,500–$5,000 (7 scholarships awarded)
Qualifications: Practicing Catholic registered Scout (BSA, Venturing, or Sea Scouts); earned Eagle Scout, Summit, or Quartermaster Award; earned Ad Altare Dei, Pope Pius XII, or Light Is Life Religious Emblem; demonstrated service and leadership in church, community, school, and scouting. James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund
Amount: $10,000
Qualifications: High school senior who is the child or financial dependent of a Teamster member; must register with ISTS and complete the application process.

AFA Scholarships
Amount: $1,600–$3,200
Qualifications: Graduating seniors enrolling in an agriculture or food-related degree program; minimum 2.5 GPA.

Animal Welfare Institute Scholarships
Amount: $3,000
Qualifications: High school seniors demonstrating commitment to animal welfare through volunteer work or advocacy and planning a career focused on reducing animal suffering; two non-family letters of recommendation required.

CNY STEM Scholarship
Amount: Paid internship following sophomore year of college
Qualifications: Planning a major in architecture, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics; minimum GPA of 85+.

Firefighters Association of New York (FASNY) Gerald J. Buckenmeyer Memorial Volunteer Scholarship
Amount: $1,500 (25 awards)
Qualifications: FASNY member or child of a member; planning post-secondary enrollment in Fall 2026; current junior firefighter, Explorer Scout, RAM, or volunteer EMS member, or demonstrate involvement through a volunteer department; commitment to volunteer service and community required.
Deadline: Apply online by March 15, 2026
9/11 Promise Scholarship
Amount: $5,000–$15,000
Qualifications: Children of fallen or permanently disabled first responders or military service members; under age 25; minimum 2.0 GPA.

Empire State Potato Growers, Inc. Scholarship
Amount: $500 (renewable for up to four years)
Qualifications: New York State resident pursuing studies benefiting the agricultural industry; selection based on academic achievement and leadership.

Beginnings Credit Union – Stringham Scholarship & Community Service Award
Amount:
- Stringham Scholarship: Up to $3,000 (four-year college) or $1,500 (two-year college)
- Community Service Award: Up to $1,500
- Walter Bazydlo Scholarship: $1,000
Qualifications: Must be a credit union member or open an account by March 20; awards based on academic performance, community service, and financial need.

Every Life Foundation for Rare Diseases (RAREis Scholarship Fund)
Amount: $5,000
Qualifications: Diagnosed with a rare disease; planning to enroll in college or vocational school; diagnosis verification required.

Epilepsy Alliance of Central New York Scholarship
Amount: $1,500
