Math & Literacy Night is Dino-Nite!
On March 6th, UPK-6th grade students participated in a Math & Literacy Night. The night began with a dino-mite dinner put on by our Food Service Department. Families listened to stories in the auditorium. We spoke to parents about the importance of reading 20 minutes every day. Students that read more improve their vocabulary and language skills and also improves performance on standardized testing. The small gymnasium was full of exciting math and science stations. These activities were created to encourage our students to enjoy math and science. The library was open for parents to purchase books at the Scholastic Book Fair. We concluded the night with raffle drawings. We are glad so many families spent time with us this evening. A special thank you to everyone that helped make this evening a success.
