The new Applied Physical Science class at Cincinnatus School began a year of problem solving by researching, designing, building, and testing water filters. Two teams built two prototypes for testing, both intended to reduce water turbidity (haziness) and decrease the possibility of infection from drinking the water. The students have displayed great innovation in creating clever, efficient, portable, and extremely affordable water filters that could truly be used to purify water for human use. Next up: solar cookers.
